Museum Exhibition 1997
Objects from the collection were selected by each member of the Museum team. This included samplers, a William Morris kit design, a cover from Epirus in Greece and Indian, Central Asian, Ottoman and Turkish, Peruvian, Russian and Slovakian embroideries. With each object was the reason for the choice. This varied from an interest in the colours, stitches and techniques used, motifs, material for example straw embroidery, style and rarity.
