Embroidery knows no boundaries of time or place. This exhibition of some of the older pieces in the Museum’s collection shows embroideries from the East and the West and from early times to the present day.
It is well to remember that the older pieces in the collection were not only hand-embroidered but were embroidered using hand-spun thread on fabric that was hand-spun and hand-woven.
