Museum Exhibition 2014
This exhibition explores the many and varied different types of lace techniques, from the 18th century to the present, in the Guild Museum collection. These include needle-made laces, needle-knotted laces, net embroidery, tape-based laces, Teneriffe lace, Ayrshire embroidery and cutwork embroidery, embellished with flowers, motifs and fillings delicately and intricately created in lace with a needle.
