Physical Description
A fine white cotton child's shirt. There is reticella embroidery at the yoke and cuffs and inserts in the sleeves. The cuffs and neck are edged with a simple plaited bobbin lace. A similar lace has been used around the reticella sleeve inserts and as an insertion around the under-arm gusset and at the seam joining the sleeve to the bodice. The shirt is assembled with fine hand sewing.The piece is probably 19th century Italian.
