The Divergent Threads exhibition complements The Embroiderers Guild of South Australia’s SALA exhibit “Divergent Textiles” which is on display at the Guild for the month of August 2024.
The Divergent Threads exhibition will run until the end of 2024 and explores the creative use of thread, stitches and materials of all descriptions to express and interpret concepts and the physical world of the embroiderer or textile artist.
Each embroiderer has been inspired to create a unique design or has adapted and embellished a design.
The Embroiderers’ Guild of South Australia has had a strong emphasis on creative embroidery, starting with the likes of Meg Douglas, Jean Lange and others
