Physical Description
Square white linen tablecloth with a 4cm hem. A centred double single line square with rounded corners has been worked in red in chain stitch. The text within is very worn and reads "M. A. Roach, Elder Grove, Penwortham 1910". All signatures are worked in red stem stitch. Each corner contains a small stitched oblong cartouche containing the names of the four girls who waited on table.

Commemorative School commemorative cloth presented to Miss Mary Ann Roach, School Teacher, Penwortham Private School, on the occasion of her 50th birthday in 1910.
