Physical Description

Red sash-like decorated fragment cut from a larger piece. Cotton ground fabric with both small shisha mirrors and unusual, large, metal framed shisha mirrors. The large mirrors are attached via holes pierced in the metal frames. Multicoloured silk thread used for the small repeat lozenge borders and the stylised flowers and foliage. Orange, red, green and black threads. Lined and bound along the long edges. Chain and herringbone stitches. The printed design remains incomplete.
