Rectangular cream linen table mat with an applied 7cm linen needle lace border. The motifs in the border may tell a story. There are multiple male figures with staffs, swords and shields. There is a seated figure under an arch. There are two other architectural structures. A fine drawn thread work whipped insertion echoes the rectangular shape of the mat. Stitches include buttonhole and hemstitch.
