Physical Description
Red silk segmented wrap-around skirt with all segments bordered in black silk. An oriental scene is depicted on the front panels with figures in blues, green and black. A green silk braid with butterflies, borders the two front panels and is also applied at the base of the red panels around the back of the skirt. The back panels have scattered motifs, which include butterflies and flowers. The figures and other motifs are worked mainly in blues and greens. The skirt is lined with blue silk. Chinese silk embroidery using satin, stem and straightstitch.
