Physical Description
Miao "Bijie style" unseamed shawl or jacket top with an 8cm wide stand-up collar. The object is front opening with no fasteners and consists of many, multi-layered, yellow and red narrow strips interspersed with embroidered areas. Red, yellow and black strips are appliquéd and there is some couching of red thread. Geometric designs in cross and half cross stitch worked in white, red, dark green and orange thread.
