Physical Description
Miao child's helmet-shaped hat. Black cotton fabric with indigo dyed lining. There are 2 ear flaps and a neck extension, front peak and open gathered crown. Crown and ear flaps are embroidered with large multicoloured stylised floral motifs. Stitches include French knot, chain, broad chain, satin, herringbone and buttonhole. There is also some laid work. Cotton thread.
