Physical Description
Child's dark indigo dyed handwoven cotton hat with strip appliqué, embroidery, woolen pompoms, metal coins, stranded plastic beads, metal baubles and chain, dyed feathers, and bound tassels. Multicoloured geometric cross stitching in three narrow bands. The embellishment was to disguise the wearer as non-human and to ward off evil spirits. Cotton thread.
