Physical Description

Cream handwoven cotton hand towel with embroidery at each end. There are two large stylised vases of flowers separated by a stylised tree at each end. A U-shaped border of repeat stylised leaves encloses the large motifs at the end and on two sides. The small vases are blue and the rest of the embroidery is worked in cream and brown silk. Some coppery metallic thread. Stitching is reversible. Turkish double running stitch has been used extensively. Some satin stitch.
