Physical Description
Fringed ecru handwoven cotton hand towel with two bands of embroidery at each end. The repeat motifs across the large bands are three stylised floral sprays in pale blue, pink and brown silk. A tiny satin stitched band of alternating colours of green and pink is at the extreme ends of the towel. Stitching is reversible. Some metallic thread has been used. Turkish double darning stitch and Murver stitch has been used extensively.
