Physical Description
Two strips for baby carriers, one incomplete. Both have a white gimp thread (with horsehair core) outline of a trailing design which has been couched down. a. The completed strip is dark red corduroy fabric with various backing fabrics glued on. It has embroidered dark indigo-dyed braid on one edge. The trailing design is filled with Peking stitch in black, dark green and purple silk thread. The braid is damask darned in red in one direction and in green at right angles to that. b. Pink satin ground fabric with indigo-dyed strip glued onto the long edge. The trailing design is incomplete.
