Physical Description

A non-symmetrical panel with a loosely attached narrow band on one side with a fringe and two sets of three cords. There is a multicoloured fringe at one end of the large panel and small red, green and blue pom poms embellish both the large panel and the narrow band. Coins have also been applied to the large panel. Red and white and multicoloured surface stitchery with cotton thread on a red cotton ground fabric. Stitches include chain stitch and back stitch. Curvilinear design of rams horns which are traditional motifs. There are applied bands; some with embroidered designs of four pointed stars and the ram's horn design, some of reverse appliqué in a red, black and white ram's horn design. Narrow multicoloured layered bands of cotton fabric have also been added.
