Physical Description
Costume components for a jacket front and sleeves. The jacket front has applied panels and has been overdyed with a design which is partially completed. a. Incomplete indigo dyed cotton jacket front with 2 small decorative panels. b. and c. are 2 separate matching mirror image panels for sleeves. Different fabric shapes and tapes have been applied to all 4 panels. All applied pieces have been decorated in the same way. Multicoloured geometric and scrolling designs have been worked with running stitch, buttonhole stitch, couching, cross, stem and satin stitch. Cotton thread.
