Physical Description
Black velvet and commercial brocade baby carrier with tasseled straps. The upper part is lined with black corduroy. There are six borders, the outer being commercial braid, then three striped blue commercial fabric strips alternate with two decorative inserts of 'silk folding' technique borders in blues, greens and red. One decorative border is totally geometric and the other is geometric alternating with birds. The straps end with a similar decorative border and tasselled cuffs. Parts of the beaded tassels are missing. Some sequins are scattered along the bird border. Some satin stitch in silk thread.
