Physical Description
Indigo cotton Gejia woman's apron. A front apron with no straps, it has a central rectangular panel of resist dyed cotton separated from a similar U-shaped border by a heavily embroidered geometric finely cross-stitched design in red silk. Following the U-shape of the first border, the rest of the apron is heavily embroidered with five further borders of varying widths. Cross, satin and half cross stitch in mostly red silk thread with touches of blue, pink and gold silk thread.
