Rectangular ecru mat with hemstitched edge with trailing design of leaves and hearts embroidered in red, white and blue in stem, satin and straight stitches on each end of the cloth. Traditional Portuguese design with motifs outlined in solid stitching enclosing areas of pulled thread work. This pieces is typical of the work made for the tourist trade.
