Physical Description
An unbleached cotton, nakshi (figured), kantha quilted cloth worked in running stitch (kantha phor or kantha stitch). It is worked with multicoloured cotton threads in a random design of figures and buildings. The figures are worked in close rows of running stitch (chatai). Motifs also include a horse, flowers and birds.The border is of single threaded running stitch. Signed 'Harong'.
