Physical Description
An Indian spice bag of red cotton embroidered allover in counted thread and cross stitch, finished with Banjara stitch which gives a ladder like effect. Traditional colours of mainly red with black, green, white and yellow. Finished with tassels of cowrie shells and a centre cord from which it would hang. The bag is in typical Banjara style being constructed of embroidered squares. A square pocket is attached on each side of a central square through which the hanging cord is threaded.
