Physical Description
A smocking brick consisting of a house brick padded and covered with calico. A piece of calico has been gathered and held to the padding with a long fine steel knitting needle. One row of embroidery has been commenced with green thread. One other needle is included. This is a simple aid to gathering fabric for smocking.
