Physical Description
Appliqué and embroidery on a matching set of supper cloth, tea cosy and cushion. Tan linen and dusty pink silk are applied to a ground fabric of grey/natural linen and embellished with embroidery, mostly in satin stitch with some laid and couched work in blue/grey and pink/tan artificial silk. The Glasgow School style pattern has been printed on to the coloured fabrics which have been applied with an overcasting stitch. The hem of the cloth has been turned to the front and held in place with decorative stitching. The work is unfinished. Pockets stitched to the back of the work hold the threads.
