Physical Description
World War II souvenir cushion cover. Appliqué and chain stitch embroidery. Crossed Australian and British flags with Australian Military Forces badge. Inscribed 'Souvenir of Palestine' and 'To my Sweet Heart 1941'. Flags are applied blue felt and embroidery is in chain stitch in coloured silks. Ground fabric is dark pink satin and there is a brown silk fringe and cotton backing.
