Physical Description

A square cotton mat in cream/natural colour. There is a central motif of a circle within a square. The square is set diagonally with a corner motif along each side. The piece is worked in tamboured chain stitch with some areas of metal thread laid and couched in groups. The tamboured threads have been twisted with metal thread and are tan, white, blue-purple and red-purple. There is a metal thread crochet edge.
