Physical Description
A pair of Chinese sleeve bands worked on ivory silk damask in gold thread and blue, green and gold silks. The design has been outlined in couched silk with fillings of Chinese knots. The gold has been couched. The design includes flowers and fruit, hills, pagoda, bridge and a bat. A pencilled outline can be seen where some areas are unworked. Probably late 19th or early 20th century.
