Cross stitch sampler worked in green on a natural linen ground. Backed in fine white lawn which is folded to the front to form a border 3-4 cm wide. There are three alphabets, numbers, border patterns and the verse: "Prayer is the Christian's vital breath The Christian's native air His watchword at the gates of death He enters Heaven by prayer."
