Physical Description
A long gold work border on a green satin ground with red cotton backing. Richly embroidered in a variety of purl, some over padding, sequins and pearl-like beads. French knots worked in silk have been used for the birds' eyes. The pattern is a repeat of a 7.5cm wide motif of flowers, birds and peacocks. Above and below this are solid lines, 1cm wide, of purl. At the top is a border, 3cm wide, of stylized flower motifs.
