Physical Description
A bag or reticule in the shape of a jug. The bag is made of crazy patchwork using randomly shaped pieces of many coloured velvets and embroidered in a variety of motifs (flowers, butterfly etc) using a variety of stitches. The embroidery is worked in coloured silks and arrasene (chenille) thread, with white, clear and gold beads. The bottom of the 'jug' has a beaded flower motif. The base of the jug has been stiffened with cardboard and a strip of metal has been used to stiffen the handle. Cream silk has been used to line the lip of the jug, while the remainder is lined in pink and white striped textured cotton.
