Physical Description
A white bertha collar of needle-lace motifs on a needle-made 'point de gaze' ground. The motifs are Venetian style with buttonholed cordonnet. Identified at the Victoria and Albert Museum as 'Victorian Point de Venise'. Identified by Pat Earnshaw in 1982 as a '19th century copy of an 18th century design. Point de gaze ground. Probably Belgian'.
