Physical Description
White cotton peasant dress with collar shaped green embroidery around the neck and sleeves and yoke worked in red embroidery of the same design. Dense stylised floral motifs in green cotton thread and variegated red cotton thread. Stitches include French knots, chain, satin, buttonhole and stem stitch. An old bodice refashioned into a new garment. The sleeves are decorated with synthetic braids, broderie anglaise and lace.
