Physical Description

Mounted fragment from the hem of a wedding towel. Repeat pattern of silver lidded vases (?) containing foliage amidst a complex allover floral design. Densely embroidered with metal thread embroidery, running stitch and double darning. Faded blue, green and gold silk thread on cream silk fabric.
