Physical Description

Crazy patchwork quilt, possibly 1920s, made from mostly cotton fabrics with some silks and velvets, printed fabrics and lace. Embroidery is worked in surface stitches including feather, chain, buttonhole, stem, long and short, satin and lazy daisy stitch. Patches are tacked down. Embroidery is worked over the tacking. There is no quilting of pieces together. The backing is teatowels - some striped, some waffle weave.
