Physical Description
Two pieces comprising:(a) A coarsely woven fawn wedding dress from Attica with a very deep, heavily embroidered border at the hem and red bands around the armholes. The embroidery design is stylised containers, figures and other abstract shapes using polychrome silks which include colours of red, green, purple and blue. Technique is predominantly cross stitch.(b) A sampler which shows the construction of the design of an Attica embroidery pattern. It is partially completed and worked in satin stitch.
