Norwegian costume for an unmarried young girl from the Hardanger Fjord comprising:a. Cotton blouse embroidered on the neck and cuffs with hardangerb. Dress with a red wool bodice and black skirt in suiting with a green velvet border. The bodice is decorated with white beading and has a beaded plastron. There is silver metallic lace braid at the juncture of the skirt and border and also on the plastron.c. Lozenge shaped red wool hat decorated with gold metallic lace braid and beading.d. Belt covered entirely in white, blue, black, red and transparent beads.e. Pocket style bag in red wool and black velvet roughly triangular in shape; decorated with metallic braid and beading.
