Physical Description
Old coat, full length, sleeveless, open-fronted. Red cotton, lined with indigo dyed ditto. Constructed of full and half loom widths with additional strips. Basic fabric still carries stamps (near shoulder) in English and Roman numerals as well as Arabic. Embroidery towards bottom of garment is of repeated motifs, vertically oriented, worked through both layers of cloth, all couched in silver metal thread and small amounts of green. A narrow green and silver border all the way around.
