Physical Description
A man's shirt of coarse fabric from the Swat Valley, North Pakistan. Embroidered overall in diamond shaped motifs using distinctive red and pink silk with touches of deep purple thread. Couching is used for the geometric patterns which are also outlined in double running stitch. There is a densely worked deep border around the hem, also in geometric motifs.
