Physical Description
Chronicle Quilt: worked to the bird designs in the SA weekly paper "The Chronicle" in 1934. Consists of blocks of cotton head cloth - birds embroidered in naturalistic colours with coloured cotton against pale green ground fabric alternating with blocks of drawn thread work in darker green. The whole is bound and backed with the darker green.
