Physical Description
A long narrow garment piece worked on red silk in a flowing design of greens, reds and purple outlined with a white gimp of wrapped thread. There are variety of techniques. Worked over paper with long tailed Chinese knots, couching, wrapped gimp, pleated braid, couched metal plate, needle-weaving and sequins. There is a green, silk-covered button placed in the centre. The piece has been detached from a garment and there is small loop remaining on the back
