Physical Description

Hmong woman's jacket of coarse woven hemp ground fabric decorated with red and very dark blue wool in geometric patterns in supplementary weft. There are six panels with geometric design in dark blue, with small appliquéd diamond shapes on cream fabric all outlined with applied pink strips. The garment is made from 29cm wide strips joined at the centre back, sides and shoulders and open at the front. The whole is lined with a finer fabric.
