Physical Description
A hanging of natural coloured cotton with a wide border at the lower edge embroidered predominantly in red and dark blue, a wide frieze at the top in red boucle stitch includes 8-petalled flower motifs. This is followed by a narrow band of blue, one of red and yellow and a wide band of natural coloured drawn thread work with needleweaving. Further yellow and red bands follow with a wide blue frieze. There is a fringe ot twisted warp threads. There is a narrow band of red part way up the side edges followed by a rolled hem held with red cross stitch. The work is typical of Sale in Morocco.
