Fragment from a sleeve panel from Samokov, Bulgaria. Worked on ecru evenweave fabric in coloured threads - green, blue, brown,pink, red - possibly silk. A central motif surrounded by three borders, the outer one having stylized flowers in counted work. A narrow cross stitch panel at the bottom edge is topped with small flower sprays. A narrow cross stitch panel at the bottom edge is topped with small flower sprigs.
