Physical Description
White linen table cover embroidered in white. A rectangular central panel outlined with a row of drawn thread work, encloses a Chinese calligraphic motif. Each corner and the long sides have a figure of a Chinese workman. The cloth as a whole has a large and elaborate dragon motif in each corner and each side has Chinese figures. There are ten figures over all and each is different. The embroidery is generally worked in satin stitch, some of which is padded, with a variety of pulled work and looped buttonhole fillings in the figures.
