Physical Description
Supper cloth - fine cream linen ground, square with an edge of smaller scallops stitched around the large scalloped edge of the supper cloth. At each of the indentations of the small scallops, a bar with a picot has been stitched in a beige thread. Alternate large scallops have drawn thread work. The central design of two stems of 'Peace' roses and rose buds tied with a pink ribbon bow has been worked in needlepainting using silk thread. There are also padded satin stitch outlines to the rose petals. The bunch of 'Peace' roses are surrounded by a circular border of drawn thread work in beige thread. The background is scattered with rose buds and leaves.
