Physical Description
This framed piece of Japanese embroidery has been worked entirely by the donor. It tells the story of Shojo a mythical monkey figure common in Japanese literature. Named "The Monkeys Tale" by the donor. The design has been worked using many traditional Japanese stitches in silk and metal threads. Colours are gold, red, silver, green and white and also includes soft pink.
