Physical Description
Christening gown in Ayrshire embroidery. Yoked gown of fine white lawn, with shoulder frills and heavily embroidered front panel. Long gathered skirt embellished with matching embroidered robings. Bottom of skirt has an embroidered panel which matches the yoke. Stitches used, as in traditional Ayrshire work include satin, stem and needlelace.
