Physical Description

Embroidered jacket from the designer Rohit Jal includes design inspired by inlaid patterns used in the Taj Mahal. Fabric is uncertain although likely to be from the hemp/ramie groups. Lavish overall embroidery in metal thread and red and green silk Large flower shapes are in metal plate with centres of pearl purl. Purl is also used for some stems and for a decorative chain at the borders. Stitches include chain and satin. Sleeve borders include a padded cord.
