Physical Description
Chinese Miao Minority embroidery in red silk with small highlights of green, purple and white. The garment panel has been mounted on an indigo base and is from the Shidong Taijaing, Guizho Province, Western China. The design is of traditional figures and includes mythical people, dragons, birds and fish. The embroidery is worked over paper patterns and is edged with a fine braid in red.
