Physical Description
Small circular beaded purse possibly from Sumatra. Each side is beaded allover and lined with red cotton. One side has a stiffened interlining. Orange, green, pink, red, black and clear glass beads have been used forming a central star motif on each side. One side has swastika motifs between the points of the star. Each side is edged with beaded scallops. There are four strings of iridescent beads finished with a red woollen tassel hanging from the lower edge. The ladder-like handle is made of iridescent beads and long 'bugle' beads.
